Gary Levine managed an Asian art gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan after graduating from The Cooper Union. Immediately thereafter, he established himself as an independent dealer specializing in Japanese woodblock prints. In his distinguished 48-year career, he has served as the consultant for Japanese Prints for Sotheby’s, Phillips and Bonham's auction houses. Gary advises both collectors and museum curators on Japanese print acquisition. He has advised many dealers throughout the country including lectures at major universities, museums and collector groups. Gary has maintained the highest standards of professionalism throughout his long career as an expert in the field of Japanese woodblock prints.
