Gary Levine worked briefly for an Asian art gallery on the Upper East Side of Manhattan after graduating from The Cooper Union. Immediately thereafter, he established himself as an independent dealer specializing in Japanese woodblock prints. In his distinguished 47-year career, he has served as the consultant for Japanese Prints for Sotheby’s, Phillips and Bonham's auction houses. He advises both leading collectors and museum curators on Japanese print acquisition and their directions for future collecting.
